John Crimmins was born in 1992 he was a surfer, skateboarder, lifeguard, son, brother, friend and all around good guy. He lived nearly 18 years of his life completely seizure free. In the spring of senior year of high school, we were about to graduate, College decisions had been made and John had an unquestionably bright future, with his whole life ahead of him.

Then all of a sudden he had his first seizure. What was it caused by exactly?  This we are still unsure of. Life for John would never be the same. Things were not easy for him as the seizures continued day to day life got harder to manage not knowing when or where they would occur. Unfortunately, many people who suffer from seizure disorders share a similar story.

John was an excellent swimmer and loved the ocean more then anything and on July 4th, 2015 John and his friends took a trip out to the Jersey shore for the weekend to celebrate. But the celebrations were quickly cut short when John had a seizure while swimming at the beach that day.

His life ended to soon but he left a lasting impact on everyone he encountered during his life. No matter the hardships he faced daily, he always had a smile and a kind word for everyone. His friendship and loyalty had no bounds and even if you just met him it seemed as if you had known him for years. We wish to continue his legacy of love and positivity through this foundation.  His life, the energy with which he lived, his passion, and his fearlessness inspired the creation of The John Crimmins Foundation.

Our goal is to make the lives of people that suffer from seizures easier, and to save the hearts of the countless others who love them. We do this by funding charities specifically curated to the needs of people with seizures and hope that one day, no one with a seizure disorder will have to live in fear of the unknown.
